Quality of Service (QOS)
What is Quality of Service?
Quality of Service (QOS) refers to a set of technologies and techniques for managing and improving the performance of computer networks, especially in terms of delivering data and services. It is important in networks that support traffic types of different sorts. Network administrators usually optimize the available resources and provide better user experiences for critical applications.
Quality of service practices can be applied to multiple levels of the network, including switches, routers, and endpoints, and allows the flow of traffic to be managed for ensuring high priority applications have the required resources for an optimized performance.
