LAN Segment

Local Area Network (LAN) Segments in the Network Segment Analysis refer to an aggregation of each hop network traffic takes within the LAN. This includes both physical and Virtual LAN (VLANs) interacted with by the device, application or service.

The LAN segment details the hops in the internal network up to the gateway leading into the ISPs, backbone, and provider networks.
